My name is Ryan Auerbach, and I am a student at Half Hollow Hills High School West. I interview students in sports, photograph, and design for our school newspaper, WestRoundup, where I help tell the stories that matter to students and staff.

I have loved graphic design and photography for as long as I can remember. When the COVID-19 pandemic began in 2020, I had more time to practice and explore, and my passion grew stronger. I spent hours learning new editing techniques, experimenting with layouts, and shooting photos that capture everyday moments in new ways. Those experiences taught me patience, attention to detail, and how to turn ideas into clear, visual stories. I have loved graphic design and photography for as long as I can remember.

Outside school, I am honored to work with the Section XI Media team and proud to be the youngest person on their staff. I also help contribute with the MX2 Prep Sports media team. This role gives me real-world experience in media production, collaboration, and meeting tons of new people. I contribute to projects that reach many people, and I learn from professionals who push me to improve my skills. Balancing schoolwork, the newspaper, and Section XI Media has helped me become more organized, confident, and creative.
